Redbox Animations

The Problem
Redbox Entertainment, a content production division of Redbox, had a lifeless logo animation that played before feature films. It had minimal impact and didn't speak to who we are as a company.

The Solution
I collaborated with a talented illustrator on this exhilarating project. She came up with a modern geometric movie night scene and then I tediously animated it with a mosaic-style revealing effect. I then added in music recorded by a professional sound studio. The result was a memorable animation that spoke to our transformation from a legacy DVD business into a multi-faceted digital entertainment company.

STILL FRAMES
The Problem
Redbox was officially becoming a public company and needed brand-launching creative for several uniquely-shaped LED signs in Times Square.

The Solution
Instead of viewing the Market Site building windows as a design obstacle, I embraced them by creating a plinko-style animation with the Redbox logo. It was truly incredible getting to see my work displayed on massive screens in New York City. This animation played during the bell ringing ceremony in which our CEO, Galen Smith, celebrated this huge moment by declaring us public.
